Spy ware is a common problem
with computers and can not only cause those
annoying pop-ups, but can also slow down your computer
dramatically.
Options for removing spyware from your computer.

Microsoft has released a free version of spyware
removal software.

Ad-aware is another popular free program that
will remove spyware from your computer.

Install it on your computer. The first time you
run the program you will need to click the
"check for updates" button. After it updates,
you can scan your computer and it will remove
all of the spy ware for free and stop those
annoying pop ups. Then, if the pop ups come back
at anytime, you can just run the program again
to remove them.
Virus protection:
(virus programs will not remove spyware and
spyware programs will not remove viruses)
You can use the following
virus programs to scan for viruses and monitor
your computer for viruses:
Defrag your hard drive.
Defragging your hard drive can speed up your
computer. To defrag your hard drive:
Click on:
- "Start"
- "Programs"
- "Accessories"
- "System Tools"
- "Disk Defragmenter".
It
will give you the option to examine your hard
drive and see if it needs to be defragged.
